Sabbath as settling (day 10)

Today was the best kind of settling in: soaking in sweet moments with my family and leaving the to-do lists at home.

Sundays tend to be "work days" since we help with the church plant, so we took today as our Sabbath. And sometimes Sabbath is going to a farm with your extended family and making hilarious and adorable memories. Train rides, toddler boys running around like crazy, sipping hot coffee, staring at my gorgeous 2-week-old niece, holding hands with my hubby, and laughing at my silly older brother. Today was a gift.

Directing my heart and my attention towards the people God has placed in my life - that's the form of settling in that I enjoy the most!
