What if we really believed that?
What would my days, and my thoughts, look like if I let that truly sink in?
This idea, that we can be as broken and messy as we truly are, and still be fully loved - it's not just an idealistic notion that we offer to friends during a difficult time.
It's straight from the heart of Jesus.
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
God WANTS US in our mess.
He asks us to bring our burdens to Him.
Not just our little annoyances throughout the day, but our heart-wrenching burdens.
The things that make us sob. The questions that there aren't easy answers to.
He wants all of us.
Jesus doesn't roll His eyes and murmur, "Oh, her again. Her tears are exhausting, haven't we gone over this one before?"
He opens His arms to the weary. His joy is bringing peace to the broken.
He truly loves the needy. And sometimes (right now, often), I am just that. So needy.
I literally can't keep it all together. So I'm running to Him.
