Letting Christmas Linger

And just like that, Christmas is over.

I think I'm going to let a few "Christmas-y" things linger. Like the soaking in of family time, letting my to-do list collect dust, and reflecting on the incredible gift that Jesus is. Oh, and eating an ungodly amount of cookies.

More Christmas pictures will be coming soon! (Especially since my sneaky husband surprised me with a DSLR - $20 gift limit my foot!)  I'm still just resting and enjoying life instead of spending time on my computer. It's amazing the perspective you gain when your fingers aren't clicking away...

Here's a little preview of our Christmas:

This is his new smile. Yup, he's the silliest and I adore him.

That's right, it's an R2D2 outfit!! Coolest brother & sister-in-law ever. (Although this does truly reveal how nerdy I am...) Hat from Etsy, Onesie made by my twin brother & sis-in-law.

I pray that the hope of Jesus is real in your heart today. If you have any questions about where to find hope in this crazy world, or why Jesus came to earth as a baby, or what it means to be a Christian, please feel free to send me an email - mackenzie {at} pintsizedmama {dot} com. I am NO expert, but I've got a listening ear.

  1. Your hair looks lovely in that style. Your son's smile made me smile too, very cute!

  2. Enjoy lingering. I'm lingering too, mostly because I think it came way too fast. And as always passes by way too quickly! That little outfit is so cute.

  3. I LOVE the onsie and hat! We totally nerd-ed it up as my (almost) 4 year old asked only for Star Wars items this Christmas... he has already made the request to watch all of the movies during our 12 hour trip to visit family for new years! I wish we could make this Christmas linger all the way to Easter... both the greatest blessings from God.

  4. What a sweet husband! :) My husband has been the one in our family wanting a DSLR for a long time. I finally caved a few months ago and I LOVE it. :)

  6. Thank God for sneaky husbands! Ha, I got to be the sneaky wife this year to get him back for last year. So much fun on both sides!

  7. Love his new little smile :) reminds me of my little brother 6 years ago. Merry Christmas Mackenzie!

  8. Oh my goodness that R2D2 shirt and hat combo are so cute! I probably couldn't talk my 16,14 or 12 year old into wearing one like it though? ;) So adorable!
