I having been waiting for this day since Nicholas's birth. I knew it would come sooner than later, and it's finally here. I'm excited to announce:
My son has reached half my height. I'm 4'8", he's 2'4". He's 9 months old.
Although my husband had to remind me that this isn't such a difficult milestone to reach, I'm still pretty proud of my son. Nicholas, I think it's safe to say that you aren't going to end up as short as I am.
I'm pumped about Nicholas reaching half my height because it's funny. It's also a little bit miraculous. Because of some of my health problems as a baby, my parents weren't even sure if I could have children. And here I am, still as short as ever, with a chunkmaster of a son. Thanks Lord!
Let's have a look at how Nicholas and I compare:
Let's have a look at how Nicholas and I compare:
At 9 months, I was just over 10 lbs. Nicholas was 10 lbs at two weeks old. Now at 9 months old, he's almost 20 lbs. I obviously don't feed him enough.
So Nicholas is literally double what I weighed at 9 months. Good job, son.
Here's me at 9 months and Nicholas at 9 months.
I look like a gentle breeze could knock me over. I'm pretty sure that it would take a windstorm to push Nicholas over, he's that substantial. (And let's not mention that at 9 months I still couldn't sit up because my big head tipped me over. Thanks older bro for propping me up.)
So there you have it. I'm almost 25, and my 9 month-old is half my height. Thanks Jesus for a healthy, chubby baby who will outgrow me by kindergarden.
I hope you all have a great weekend! I'm going to go work out my biceps since lugging around someone who is half your height isn't easy business.

What a fun post! I love that you have both of your records. It is so fun to see how they grow. And I think both of my boys are going to be bigger than me too!
