I hope you all had a great weekend! Our was quite eventful, with a Montana-themed party, a birthday date, and a sick baby.
For the beginning of each quarter at our YWAM base we have a "Welcome to Montana" night to welcome our new students. This consists of dressing up in whatever "Montanan" garb you can find, eating great food, and mingling with the new students. So on Friday night, this was our family's attempt at looking Montanan (don't you love Nicholas' camo-cowboy boots?):
The next morning I woke up with Nicholas around 4am and he was burning up and sniffling in the sweetest, most pathetic way. Though it was my birthday and Brian and I had planned to go on a lunch date, I wanted to stay home with my sick baby. It was the first time he's been sick, so I didn't want to leave him. But after a little while he perked up and was doing a lot better, so Brian and I grabbed lunch and did a little shopping.
I promise Brian liked his food, he's just kind of silly...
This is me SO excited to devour a coconut cupcake. BEST CUPCAKE EVER! And the rest of our meal was great too.
Brian got me a few really thoughtful presents, and it was fun to have lunch just the two of us. But I spent a lot of the time worrying about my sick little boy, so I was happy to get home. Our amazing friends who so lovingly took care of Nicholas also made us dinner. I was SO blessed and felt really cared for. My twin brother also sent me a song that he had written for me. To say that I was honored is an understatement. I think it is one of the most amazing gifts anyone has ever given to me! Of course, I cried :) Thanks Tay, I love you my womb-mate!
I'm happy to say that Nicholas is doing a lot better, and I'm excited for the rest of this week. Being 25 is pretty great so far! Thank you for all of the sweet birthday wishes, it was a good day.
Oh, and over the weekend I started a new advertising program that I am really excited about! Check out my Partner page if you're interested. The rates are cheap, and I'd love to partner with you. (And if you're attending the Influence Conference, you can get 20% off your ad for October!)
