Mischief of an 8-Month-Old & A Little Business

2 pieces of "business" before I get down to business today! :)

Update - my email is back up! Woohoo! I definitely squealed with excitement when it started working. So email away! :)

1. My email is down, so I am sorry if I haven't returned your email! I am working on fixing this as soon as I can. If you are trying to get ahold of me, leave a comment or message me through Facebook or Twitter. I can email you if you contact me :)

2. Do you remember when I talked about how my family makes our income? Stephanie from Life Created saw that post and approached me about donating to our ministry - isn't that incredible?! I love how God provides in unexpected ways. Stephanie is hosting "August Mondays" on her blog where "every Monday in August is set aside to help a non-profit family or group who could always use help funding their cause." How generous, huh? I feel privileged to be a part of August Mondays. Thank you Stephanie!

So today, 50% of her Etsy shop sales will be donated to our family to help support our work with Youth With A Mission. Stephanie sells adorable cake toppers, note cards, prints, event invitations, and more! Click here to head to her Etsy shop. And while you're at it, check out her beautiful blog, she is incredibly encouraging and inspiring! (and has delicious looking recipes).

Now onto business...

Nicholas has been really disobedient the last few days.
I've been telling him that he's not allowed to keep getting so big, but he's not obeying me very well. On Saturday he "turned" 8 months old.
Am I old enough to have an 8 month old? (Don't answer that question. I know I don't look old enough.)

I guess I have to be ok with him disobeying me on this issue :)

In his 8 months of life outside the womb, Nicholas has brought Brian and I endless amounts of joy. He is now crawling (and trying to climb - uh oh!), has 3.5 teeth, loves squeaking, squawking, and squealing, eats ridiculous amounts of baby food, and has the fluffiest hair that any human has ever possessed.  Brian keeps telling me that we can't cut Nicholas' hair until he's in preschool...and I keep telling him that's not gonna happen. I have vivid memories of people thinking I was a boy because of my hair cut, so I'm going to try to protect Nicholas from a similar form of humiliation.

He also has jellybeans for knuckles (as displayed in the picture above) and stacks of tires for thighs. We feed him only butter, red meat, and whole milk. (Very much just kidding.)

To my curious, joyful 8-month-old boy: I love you with every ounce of my heart. Everyday with you is a gift, and I ADORE watching you explore the world. Just don't be mad if I try to make you wear a helmet & knee pads. Your Dad will make sure that won't happen, but I sure will try. Nicholas James, you have my heart.
