A Few Realizations

We've been in Oregon for the last few days! We were visiting family and celebrating my beautiful Grandmother's birthday. It was a peaceful time and through it, I've realized a few things:

1. Time with family is truly priceless. I want to treasure every moment, especially since we don't live nearby our families.

These are my 3 nephews on my side of the family - 2 of them born within 2 months of Nicholas!

2. Babies + tank tops + cowboy boots = instant happiness.

3. My mom loves Baskin Robbins even more than I thought she did :) And, I love her even more than I did before this trip! She's pretty easy to love.

4. God has given me this life and the people in it for a reason, and I don't want to waste a moment. I'm not perfect, but I hope my life can be a reflection of the unending, gracious, huge love of God.

I hope you've had a wonderful week! I sure had fun one - enjoying the sunshine with my extended family, having girl time with my mom, aunt, and Grandma, watching Nicholas learn to crawl (eep!), and exploring the beautiful city of Salem.

We're driving back to Washington today and then I'm taking a nap for the next 3 years. See you in 2015.

  1. Your mom looks so young! I can't believe she's a grandma!

  2. We loved having you and your little family visit...... You are welcome anytime. I love reading your blog and I am very proud of the woman you have become.
