Hello friends! By the time you're reading this, I'm hopefully halfway to Washington. We are sad to leave our home for a month, but also SO SO SO excited to see our family and friends! If you feel like praying, I'd love a few prayers for safe travel and for Nicholas to do great in the car. It's our first car trip with him, so we'll see how it goes!
I'm so excited to share with you another video blog! I'm linking up with Ashley's "Girl Behind the Blog" link-up!
This month's topic for the Girl Behind the Blog is "A Little More." You'll get to know a few behind the scenes types of things, meet Nicholas, and experience the awkwardness that is Mackenzie Byersdorf. Enjoy! (And if you want to link up and share your, click the adorable picture below my video!) Can't wait to see everyone's vlogs!
I realized after I made this video that the "personal style" question also applied to music - so I'll just say that I love indie-ish worship music, like John Mark McMillan and Leeland, I LOVE John Mayer and Ryan Adams (NOT to be confused with Bryan Adams), and I am a die-hard Taylor Swift Fan. I LOVE YOU TAYLOR!
Finally, to whoever found my blog today by Google searching "the fattest girl in the world," I applaud you. Thanks for making me laugh.
Ah! You're adorable!
ReplyDeleteGreat vlog, hun!
You're totally adorable, not awkward :) I think I"m going to try a video now, even though I know I'll hate my voice & whatnot. You've inspired me!
ReplyDeleteI feel like we're the same person from watching your video :). I too, struggled with fear that ruined me for a long time and debilitated my life. I didn't realize how much I struggled with it, until I was freed from the constant, moment by moment fear ad worry. I'm grateful to know I'm not alone in that journey.
ReplyDeleteAlso, don't even get me started with John Mayer. Seriously, he's my first music love. I could never say enough. So fun to see you like him too :).
Fun video post!
Nicholas is so cute! That smile. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI hate change, too. I like the plans to be the plans and that's the end. I'm perfectly flexible as the plans are being executed - but when plans are still plans I like them to just be!
Ahhhh Nicholas is so darn cute! Praise God for your freedom from fear. That must be an incredible feeling. I had a baby 15 months ago and I *still* have a baby bump. Hoping I just eventually am pregnant again and can pretend thats what the bump is haha! Smooch your face
ReplyDeleteOh I love you even more just after watching this!! I can relate a lot with the 'when plans change'. I get anxiety when plans change, probably why I have so much anxiety right now in this 'transitional phase' of life. But I know He has great plans for us and it's all out of my control!! xo
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
ReplyDeleteCute video- I love how honest and open you are! Praise God for your healing
Happy wednesday!
love it!!! i love how you introduced nicholas to us all! my little man was asleep when i filmed mine late into the night. anyways, i love what you shared about struggling with fear. i have struggled with really debilitating fear before too...but the Lord is good! i totally forgot about celebrity gossip...i really enjoy it too...even though it has nothing to do with my life.
ReplyDeletewe have like the same music style...i think. :) i love john mark mcmillan and leeland as well. so i am going to definitely look into ryan adams.
safe travels!
girl. you are so so precious!! I want to be friends!!! :) hehe FIRST of all...I had chills when you were talking about being freed from fear. I was delivered and healed from it myself, about three years ago, after several years of it reeking havoc in my life and in my physical body! It was gone instantly and it has never paralyzed me like that since! Praise God!!!! so awesome to relate with other people about that. Also, your little guy is SO stinking cute..I want to kiss those cheeks!! and you cracked me up at the end...you are too cute girly!! have a blessed day!!!
ReplyDeletehaha I look at People.com everyday too!
ReplyDeleteNicholas is so cute!!!! I'm gonna miss you guys for the month your gone. :) See you when you get back.

PS - this is going to sound really strange, but you have a really nice speaking voice - like so calm and soothing! I feel like you should make audio book readings or do public speaking or something to take advantage of that! :)
ReplyDeleteAhh another great GBTB vlog, Mackenzie! I am SO with you on hating change. I do not handle it well at all - including when plans change, just like you said. If I'm expecting something and it doesn't happen - even if I plan to eat the last muffin in the morning, but my husband takes it to work before I wake up - oh boy, look out. I'm really interested in everything you said about fear - I am a hardcore worrier, and it's only gotten worse since I had Benjamin. Even if I take him for a walk on our street, I'm terrified that every car that drives by is either going to malfunction and hit us, someone will hit us intentionally, etc. Which is just an example of the ridiculous fears I have, but I'm constantly worried about all kinds of things. Glad to see that people can overcome this, because it's definitely something I need to work on!
ReplyDeleteYour son is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being so open and honest. I totally understand about celebrity gossip. I'm not sure why I like it, or why I love watching The Bachelorette, but I do! Hope you all have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteAww you're adorable! And so is Nicholas. I loved this!! I totally struggled with fear when I was younger, and only by God have I been freed from that. That's such a great testimony! Also, I love celebrity gossip! Haha I just don't know why either!
ReplyDeleteGreat video! I have not done a vlog yet, mainly because I think I would fall all over my words and it would just be painful for people to watch:) You did great!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet video! I will be sure to stop by and read/watch more. Your adorable!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, your little boy (Nicholas) is the most adorable little guy ever! Too cute. Awesome vlog! You speak so well! I'm jealous! I love celebrity gossip, too! :)
ReplyDeleteNicholas is soooo cute!
ReplyDeleteYou have a GREAT taste in music :)
Isn't God great?!?! So glad to hear that HE freed you from your fears. Praise the Lord!
As usual you are your adorable self! I love your vlog, I feel so much better that Im not alone in my minor.. not so minor obsession with reality gossip/tv :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh you are the sweetest girl! I have sometimes hugely consuming health anxiety so I'm there with you in the fear thing, it sucks and I hope to get past it some day.
ReplyDeleteMackenzie....we would most definitely be friends in real life! Thanks for watching my video and for your sweet comment! we have so much in common! ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying your time with your family and friends in Washington!
I loved your Vlog! I hope that I can figure out how to do one soon. I would be so horrible in video. I am sure of it. And how hilarious is it to look at the traffic sources of your blog and to see what people google to get to you. This week alone, two people came to my blog by googling "jacuzzi nudes." No joke. I have nothing nude on my blog. Its very PG. Maybe PG13. But no nudes. So weird.
ReplyDeleteyou are adorable and so, so sweet. i love what you shared about fear - amen, sister. the Lord is SO faithful and I praise Him for freeing you!! Amazing, sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI love you and your blog, you're amazing. And I LOVE your little one :)
