Pint-Sized Moments: Getting Stared Down By Pre-Teens

I'm pretty sure that there is a conspiracy against me, and all pre-teen girls are in on it. There have been countless times when I am out in public that I get stared down by girls who look to be 9 to 13 years old. I don't know if they are shocked by my height or if they are trying to figure out why some 20's something guy is walking around Target with a 14-year-old mother. But they love to stare. The most entertaining part is when some girls will be walking in one direction but their heads are completely turned back looking at me, so they aren't even looking at where they are going. I sincerely hope they don't trip over anything as they try to figure out what the heck is going on with me.

Here is an example of my height compared to pre-teen girls. These beautiful ladies in the picture below are around 9 to 10 years old. (This is a dance class I taught in the Middle East a few years ago. I miss these girls!)

If it wasn't for my pasty white skin, I'd blend in pretty good with this group! At least in terms of height. (I'm on the far left, in the front.)

In all actuality, I don't really mind when people stare. I just think it's funny that for some reason this age group of girls can't seem to not stare when I walk by. There's much worse things in the world than pre-teen girls staring at me, so I'll take it.
